How to enjoy autumn the ayurvedic way
Through Ayurveda we can enjoy a healthy and wholesome autumn, this time of the year is associated with the air element and there is lightness and dryness dominating. This change in the season can aggravate Vata elements and as this helps us with how relaxed we feel it can affect our mental wellbeing and our digestion.

To help alleviate these issues, a gentle sesame seed massage at the start of the day after you have used your tongue scraper and had a cup of hot water and lemon. Some deep breathing exercises, such as nadi sodhana alternate nostril breathing is helpful. Gentle yoga practice with plenty of time spent laying down on the mat to ground the body and mind.
A tablespoon of chywanaprash with your breakfast porridge will keep the vitamin c levels high and can boost immunity. Poach some pears or apples in star anise and honey and a little water to garnish and spring a few walnuts on top, you will be supercharged for the day.
