Ayurvedic teaching suggests that optimum health can be achieved through following a “sattvic” diet, this means a diet that is full of foods with pure energy avoiding processed foods, the outcome is a calm energised body with clear thoughts and a settled mind. So how on a simple level can this be done and what foods are sattvic?

A simple list of sattvic goods

  • ghee

  • milk

  • beans and lentils
