The winter season is a cold damp heavy time of the year heavily influenced by the earth and water elements making it a kapha and vata season. Our bodies work well when we reflect nature around us so its a time you will naturally feel like nourishing warm foods and spending time staying in more and feeling grounded.

Some suggestions of ayurvedic tips for winter:

  • Eat soups and stews, including stewed fruits which are easy to digest

  • Hot teas

  • Avoid ice, cold raw foods

  • Include warming spices in your foods - cinnamon

  • Take a vitamin d supplement during this season to keep your immune system working effectively

  • Warm milk before bed

  • Strong daily routines
