Poached Rhubarb Dessert Recipe
Simple, tasty and nutritious Rhubarb is packed with dietary fibre, protein, vitamin C, vitamin K, B complex vitamins, calcium, potassium, manganese, and magnesium.
- 400g Rhubarb
- Honey or Stevia to taste
PREPARATION (4 Portions)
Mix the honey or stevia with 250ml of water in a saucepan and bring to the boil
Meanwhile, cut the rhubarb into the shape of your choosing. Add the rhubarb to the boiling sugar syrup, then immediately remove the pan from the heat. Leave the rhubarb batons in the syrup as it cools
Use a slotted spoon to remove the rhubarb batons from the syrup. Serve immediately, or chill and store until required
When not cleansing you can serve with a dot of marscapone or cream
