Ayurvedic Cleansing and The Re-integration Phase


The reintegration part of The Cleanse starts on day 9 of The Cleanse and can continue for as long as you wish. You will start to reintroduce food groups, for example carbohydrate, protein, fats, sugars or milk/dairy. Choose one food group each day or several depending on how you are feeling.


The purpose of reintegration is to develop an awareness of how your body and mind react to different foods in a positive way. For instance when I finish cleansing sometimes I am craving a certain food and I really enjoy it when I get it back for the first time. However you may find a food can make you feel bloated, head achy or generally sluggish. You can then identify this food or food group as something to have infrequently or avoid. Its helpful to write down what is happening so you can reflect on the results.

It may take only a couple of days to add foods back in or you may wish to do this very slowly just listen to what your body is telling you.
